Austrian Alps Wedding Photography – Zell am See

Winter Adventure Wedding

If you need your photographer to snowboard down a mountain with you while you’re in all your wedding gear, I’m your girl. This wedding was so much fun. I’m calling it an adventure wedding because a) How many weddings do you get to go to that start in a small Austrian hall (at 10am), then b) transport all the guests to the top of a mountain for lunch and a party, and c) only to all ski/snowboard down for dinner and the after party. It was organised to perfection. It was an adventure wedding.

Zell am See

Mike and Shula come to this ski resort, Zell am See, a few times a year. The area has plenty of terrain, but doesn’t have that big resort feel to it that you get other places in the Alps. We came out for the whole week, as we hadn’t snowboarded in a couple years and wanted to make the most of it. We fell in love with the area. Down in the town there’s a gorgeous lake, and we were impressed that even towards the end of March we could ride from the top, all the way into Zell. One day we took a quick shuttle over the glacier, Kaprun, and had a beautiful powder day.

The Wedding – Hotel Heitzmann

I love that these guys made it a week long affair. We got so much time up on the mountain, and had the most beautiful sunny day on the wedding day itself. In the evening we headed back to the Hotel Heitzmann for a superb dinner. (We actually booked our entire stay at this hotel which included our dinner every night, and it was the best food ever. Not a buffet, but a sit down 4 course meal with allowances for vegetarian and pescatarian.) The evening entertainment was an amazing band, The Side Project.

Way to go guys. You truly organised the perfect week, and wedding day.

She was friends with pretty much everyone, girls and guys, and has always had an infectious personality that people just want to be around. She always br ...

European Road Trip 2013
So this post is about 10 months late. Last summer we went on an epic, almost 4 month road trip, in a camper van around Europe. We had decided that it was time to abandon sunny Florida and move on to something else and while we figured that out we took the opportunity to do what we love most - travel. Of course, we took thousands of photos, and had really good intentions to get them sorted and posted, but then we got distracted with moving out to China. I did manage to scan and post all the Polaroid photos I took, but it seemed to take some convincing to finally get the digital ones prepped for the web. While on our road trip, Eliot did an ...

Maui Engagement Photography – Aaron and Maria
Christmas 2013 we were lucky enough to spend it in Maui with my family again this year. It turned into being the year of Hawaiian engagements, as we celebrated one of my cousins getting engaged this past summer, and two more got engaged before we left the islands. There was a lot of celebrating. My cousin Aaron is one of the funniest guys you've ever met, and his fiance Maria is the sweetest of all ::
