Midsummer Oregon Wedding – Tipi Village Retreat Wedding Photography – Nicole and Karl

destination Travel wedding

An absolute dream location. A bride and groom who give you lots of time with them. Sleeping in a tipi under the stars. Sunshine in the Pacific Northwest. A tipi village next to a river. Beautiful friends and family. A couple film cameras. Handmade decorations. Corn Hole and Giant Jenga. All this, nestled in the foothills of Eugene Oregon, is a recipe for a beautiful wedding day.

Everything about their wedding was perfect, and it was impossible not to feel inspired. Here is Nicole and Karl at a Tipi Village Retreat ::

A big shout out and THANK YOU to my little sister, Char, who helped me so much on this day. Many of the film shots above are ones that she took 🙂

LOVE LOVE LOVE! I can't thank you both enough for all of the hard work you put in to the whole weekend. We could not be happier with how the pictures turned out. Every picture brought a smile to my face.

Southampton Wedding Photographer – Sarah and Max
I really do have the most amazing couples who find me. Everything about Sarah and Max's day was beautiful, from the simplicity in the details, down to the people who were a part of it. They were surrounded by so much love and you could tell they felt it. The way Sarah looked when I showed up, I could see she was relaxed and ready to let the day take its course. Everything played out beautifully. Although they've been together for years, you wouldn't know it by how excited they both got about one another. Max has a quiet confidence about him, but every once in a while he'd break out of that and you could see his playful side come ...

Table Mountain
We've been talking about it since we were here last year. You can see it from anywhere in Cape Town it's so big (and everywhere else is so flat). It really is the icon of South Africa, and I can just imagine the first Dutch settlers seeing it on the horizon and deciding to come here. A huge plateau protruding out of what is relatively flat land. We've been waiting for a clear sunny day on the weekend to do it, and I'd been checking the forecast all week to make sure it wasn't going to change. When we woke up on Saturday morning we checked the mountain from our window and saw just a few clouds wisping around the base, not enough to keep u ...

Turning 28
My 28th birthday was really wonderful. It landed on a Thursday, so the weekend before my husband planned a trip for us to go to Hong Kong to celebrate. Compared to mainland China, Hong Kong is like going on a little European holiday. It was nice getting a little break from the craziness, eating great food, and drinking delicious wine.On my actual birthday, the 3rd of April, I woke up at my normal time, 6:30. Yes, it's early. However, I've gotten really used to it and I love being awake early with the whole day in front of me. And I can drink my coffee slowly, watch the day begin from our 10th story apartment, have breakfast, and ...
