Midsummer Oregon Wedding – Tipi Village Retreat Wedding Photography – Nicole and Karl

destination Travel wedding

An absolute dream location. A bride and groom who give you lots of time with them. Sleeping in a tipi under the stars. Sunshine in the Pacific Northwest. A tipi village next to a river. Beautiful friends and family. A couple film cameras. Handmade decorations. Corn Hole and Giant Jenga. All this, nestled in the foothills of Eugene Oregon, is a recipe for a beautiful wedding day.

Everything about their wedding was perfect, and it was impossible not to feel inspired. Here is Nicole and Karl at a Tipi Village Retreat ::

A big shout out and THANK YOU to my little sister, Char, who helped me so much on this day. Many of the film shots above are ones that she took 🙂

LOVE LOVE LOVE! I can't thank you both enough for all of the hard work you put in to the whole weekend. We could not be happier with how the pictures turned out. Every picture brought a smile to my face.

Southampton Wedding Photographer :: Kim and Christian
I really hate that this much time has passed since I photographed this wedding. It's been hanging over my head, but unfortunately reliable internet is not a luxury afforded to me during my travels. When I met Kim, I felt a sort of kindred connection with her. If only because she was an American girl marrying a British boy, and she was giddy in love. I can sort of relate to that ;-)Their wedding day was filled with love and a huge portion of emotion. The father daughter dance was especially a tear jerker.Cheers to Kim and Christian.Travel Update :: We are currently in France, visiting my inlaws at their home here. We ...

Stockholm Engagement Photography – Alexis and Magnus
Wow, I'm a bit embarrassed. I have probably sat down to start a blog, a dozen time since my last post. Even now as I write this, I'm wondering if it will actually make it to being published and killing my 3 months of silence in this space. I'll try to rationalize it in another post, this one is meant for much greater things. The last stop on our European road-trip was Sweden. I am in love with Sweden. Such a beautiful and amazing place, and I'm lucky enough to have a cousin who lives in Stockholm with her fiancé. Let me just say, exploring a new city while doing an engagement session, has to be one of the best ways to see it. (Remember thi ...

Wedding at Cowdray Ruins and The Walled Garden
The Couple I met Meg and Matt at a pub, about a year before their wedding at the Walled Garden at Cowdray. We chatted over a pint and they were so easy going. During our meeting we ended up talking and discussing about 100 other things apart from their wedding. Following our initial meetup, a couple months later, I shot their engagement session here in the forest. During their shoot, I asked them how they felt about jumping a fence and venturing into a field to get potentially a great shot, and they didn't even hesitate. There is not enough I can say about these two. As with all wedding, you really get to know a couple when you celebrate ...
