Midsummer Oregon Wedding – Tipi Village Retreat Wedding Photography – Nicole and Karl

destination Travel wedding

An absolute dream location. A bride and groom who give you lots of time with them. Sleeping in a tipi under the stars. Sunshine in the Pacific Northwest. A tipi village next to a river. Beautiful friends and family. A couple film cameras. Handmade decorations. Corn Hole and Giant Jenga. All this, nestled in the foothills of Eugene Oregon, is a recipe for a beautiful wedding day.

Everything about their wedding was perfect, and it was impossible not to feel inspired. Here is Nicole and Karl at a Tipi Village Retreat ::

A big shout out and THANK YOU to my little sister, Char, who helped me so much on this day. Many of the film shots above are ones that she took 🙂

LOVE LOVE LOVE! I can't thank you both enough for all of the hard work you put in to the whole weekend. We could not be happier with how the pictures turned out. Every picture brought a smile to my face.

Trust. From start to finish, Lauren and Jim trusted me, which is completely invaluable. They didn't worry about what I was doing or making sure I got the right shot. They relaxed and let me take care it. There is nothing more I can ask for from couples because given that trust I can create what I'm there to do.A beautiful couple that I'm a bit sad to say goodbye to. When I'm with a couple from the start and I get to know them, photograph their Engagement Session and then the Big Day, it gets hard to finish up their photos and finally blog their wedding. I'm just a bit sentimental that way I guess.I wish them all the best.Se ...

Longmen Town
Thursday was a public holiday in China so I decided to take a motorbike ride through the countryside. It was a steamy, hot sunny day, and I wanted to escape the stagnant air of Fuyang for a while. The hills around where I live give an idyllic feeling of ancient China. Once you leave the town it's easy to find yourself wondering how you ever got to such a foreign place. You see farmers working out in their fields with no machinery, only their livestock to help them along with their own back breaking labor. Living in Fuyang, I see so many different parts of Chinese culture that most westerners who come to China may never see. It's part of the r ...

Southampton Wedding Photographer :: Kim and Christian
I really hate that this much time has passed since I photographed this wedding. It's been hanging over my head, but unfortunately reliable internet is not a luxury afforded to me during my travels. When I met Kim, I felt a sort of kindred connection with her. If only because she was an American girl marrying a British boy, and she was giddy in love. I can sort of relate to that ;-)Their wedding day was filled with love and a huge portion of emotion. The father daughter dance was especially a tear jerker.Cheers to Kim and Christian.Travel Update :: We are currently in France, visiting my inlaws at their home here. We ...
