Stockholm Engagement Photography – Alexis and Magnus

destination Engagement Travel

Wow, I’m a bit embarrassed. I have probably sat down to start a blog, a dozen time since my last post. Even now as I write this, I’m wondering if it will actually make it to being published and killing my 3 months of silence in this space. I’ll try to rationalize it in another post, this one is meant for much greater things.

The last stop on our European road-trip was Sweden. I am in love with Sweden. Such a beautiful and amazing place, and I’m lucky enough to have a cousin who lives in Stockholm with her fiancé. Let me just say, exploring a new city while doing an engagement session, has to be one of the best ways to see it. (Remember this London Engagement?) I feel like it opens my eyes to little spots that I wouldn’t typically notice. We had such a fun time with these two, and I’m already trying to figure out how we can get back there.

Here is Alexis and Magnus ::

So much sweetness. Thanks for having us guys. xx

Southampton Engagement Photographer – Mike and Sue
So a while back I was taking a Portrait Photography class and was in desperate need for some models to pose for me. It was a very "traditional portrait" studio class (nothing like what I ever wanted to do or do now, but nevertheless a good learning experience). Mike and Sue graciously agreed to help me out and sit for me while I took awkward, overly posed photos of them ("yes, it's very important you tilt your head exactly that way, otherwise I might fail" kind of stuff). As you can imagine, those photos never and will never surface on the web. It's to protect all three of us, I promise. But I was really happy when got engaged and asked me ...

A Thought on Leaving China
So we finally got word last week that we will be leaving China, with a date set for July 18th. I am so excited to get this news because for a long time we have never had a definite date, and now there is an end in sight and we can actually plan for it. If we had known when we first arrived here that we would be staying for almost 11 months there's so many things I would have done differently. But for the past 9 months we've been thinking that we're leaving in just a couple months and I don't feel as though we ever really settled into China fully. For example, I would have gotten a job that was going to last longer, and I would have starte ...

A Giveaway!
It always fun to spread a little love around.I'm a big fan of free stuff.  I'm subscribed to all the daily emails of the "deals" in my area.  Mostly they get annoying, but I can't un-subscribe from them because then I might miss out on a totally awesome deal.  Every once in a while a favorite restaurant comes up and although its not free, it is a great way to save some money. This deal here though? Totally free.  I'm going to give away to two (that's right 2) lucky people an 8x10 print.  It doesn't matter where you are in the world, everyone is eligible.  These are the prints to choose from. Favorite shots from around the ...
