Stockholm Engagement Photography – Alexis and Magnus

destination Engagement Travel

Wow, I’m a bit embarrassed. I have probably sat down to start a blog, a dozen time since my last post. Even now as I write this, I’m wondering if it will actually make it to being published and killing my 3 months of silence in this space. I’ll try to rationalize it in another post, this one is meant for much greater things.

The last stop on our European road-trip was Sweden. I am in love with Sweden. Such a beautiful and amazing place, and I’m lucky enough to have a cousin who lives in Stockholm with her fiancé. Let me just say, exploring a new city while doing an engagement session, has to be one of the best ways to see it. (Remember this London Engagement?) I feel like it opens my eyes to little spots that I wouldn’t typically notice. We had such a fun time with these two, and I’m already trying to figure out how we can get back there.

So much sweetness. Thanks for having us guys. xx

Southampton Engagement Photography :: A Proposal
Happy Friday! One week from today and I will be on my way to Europe for 4 months. Today is also the last shoot I'm doing before leaving. It happens to be my favorite kind too. Can you guess? Definitely ending things on a high note. This is a proposal I shot a few weeks back for a friend of mine. Proposal turned mini e-sesh. It was a complete surprise and I was posing like I was just taking a photo of the sunset. Very fun to be a part of. Here is Andrew and Hannah ::

Southampton Engagement Photographer :: Chris & Dyana
I ♥ this couple. I had such an amazing afternoon with them, photographing their e-sesh. I pitched the idea of doing their engagement session in an antique/thrift shop a few weeks before. To my delight, Dyana and Chris loved the idea, and scouted out the cutest little shop in all the land. These two sweeties are so in love, and spending an afternoon getting to know them, and hear their stories, is why I love engagement sessions. Whenever I meet couples, it's always kinda/sorta like an interview (from both sides). They have tons of questions for me, and I try to find out as much as I can about them in the space of...about an hour. So the con ...

Autumn New Forest Engagement Photography
You wouldn't know it by looking at these photos, but this shoot nearly got rained out. The day before is when we'd originally scheduled it, and it poured rain from dawn to dusk. We quickly scheduled it for the following day and managed to capture that sweet autumnal glow.I love setting up for engagement shoots. Scouting unique locations is my specialty, and in this area there is no shortage of magnificent backdrops. A broken wall, or a glimmering tree line can completely transform a photograph from your usual portrait into vibrant scene.Meg and Matt were good sports about trekking through forest and fields as well as hopping over a fe ...
