When I was 18, I was quite active in my hometown sailing community. I’d been involved in sailing since I was 9, and at this time I taught sailing to kids in my local club and in the summertime was out racing 3 nights a week. Shortly after I graduated from high school a friend of mine gave my name to a couple in Seattle who were looking for crew for one of their local races, and that’s how I came to know Ben and Jen. (note: they tell a slightly different story that is longer, and more embarrassing, so since this is my blog I’m going to leave those details out) Since then they both have been close friends of mine and subsequently Eliot’s as well. I jump on and sail with them any chance I get. This past November I was up in the NW photographing a wedding and the following weekend happened to be one of my favorite races. I’d always told Eliot about it, so when Ben and Jen offered us a ride on their boat we decided that sailing around the San Juans in early November was about the most fun thing a couple who lived in FL could do. Needless to say, the last 3 years in Florida have thinned our blood out a bit. But as it always is with Ben and Jen, it was an awesome time.

Whew! So my lack of updating is due to our move to Sunny FL! Well....actually we arrived in FL in the midst of a cold snap, and it's actually been colder here than Seattle (not even joking like 29 degrees). So I've been seriously busy trying to organize furniture for a house so we can stop looking like we're just squatting here with our mattress on the floor. More on Florida later, all I'll say is that we're here, we love the house we're renting and there's lots to share but that's for another post on a different night, including some news on going back to school. How bout those holidays? 5 countries in 3 weeks! We started our trip from ...

Amma, the blog owner, always features the most beautiful weddings. She is different from the other wedding blogs, in that she focuses on the imagery and beauty that come from someone's special day ...

Starting Again
With a fresh look, and a new life! Well, not so much a new life, but a lot is changing at the moment. Firstly, we are no longer living in China. We found out in February that we are expecting a little babe in late October, so we made some plans to get ourselves a bit more settled. Although we loved our life in China and our Xiamen family that live there, we didn't see ourselves having a baby there. We've always wanted to be closer to family, and after almost 9 years together we decided it's time to make that transition and move to the UK.This also means starting again with my business. It all feels a bit daunting. An unfamiliar place, wit ...
