Washington State Wedding :: Melanie and Drew

destination Travel wedding

There aren’t too many words that can describe how beautiful this day was. I was so honored to be a part of it and to share in Mel and Drew’s happiness. To photograph the girl I grew up next door to marrying an awesome guy, was really amazing. Everything went perfect, and so much of it was the product of love, family and friends. Thank you guys for bringing me there.

Stockholm Engagement Photography – Alexis and Magnus
Wow, I'm a bit embarrassed. I have probably sat down to start a blog, a dozen time since my last post. Even now as I write this, I'm wondering if it will actually make it to being published and killing my 3 months of silence in this space. I'll try to rationalize it in another post, this one is meant for much greater things. The last stop on our European road-trip was Sweden. I am in love with Sweden. Such a beautiful and amazing place, and I'm lucky enough to have a cousin who lives in Stockholm with her fiancé. Let me just say, exploring a new city while doing an engagement session, has to be one of the best ways to see it. (Remember thi ...

A Thought on Leaving China
So we finally got word last week that we will be leaving China, with a date set for July 18th. I am so excited to get this news because for a long time we have never had a definite date, and now there is an end in sight and we can actually plan for it. If we had known when we first arrived here that we would be staying for almost 11 months there's so many things I would have done differently. But for the past 9 months we've been thinking that we're leaving in just a couple months and I don't feel as though we ever really settled into China fully. For example, I would have gotten a job that was going to last longer, and I would have starte ...

Southampton Wedding Photographer :: Kim and Christian
I really hate that this much time has passed since I photographed this wedding. It's been hanging over my head, but unfortunately reliable internet is not a luxury afforded to me during my travels. When I met Kim, I felt a sort of kindred connection with her. If only because she was an American girl marrying a British boy, and she was giddy in love. I can sort of relate to that ;-)Their wedding day was filled with love and a huge portion of emotion. The father daughter dance was especially a tear jerker.Cheers to Kim and Christian.Travel Update :: We are currently in France, visiting my inlaws at their home here. We ...
