Washington State Wedding :: Melanie and Drew

destination Travel wedding

There aren’t too many words that can describe how beautiful this day was. I was so honored to be a part of it and to share in Mel and Drew’s happiness. To photograph the girl I grew up next door to marrying an awesome guy, was really amazing. Everything went perfect, and so much of it was the product of love, family and friends. Thank you guys for bringing me there.

Wedding Photography at Upton Barn and Walled Garden – Devon Wedding Photographer
Wedding in Collumpton, Devon There is something very whimsical about the Devon countryside and it really sets the scene for a gorgeous wedding event. It has a relaxed atmosphere, but with a traditional English feel and charm. It was the perfect setting for Mike and Julie's French and English celebrations.Upton Barn and Walled Garden This venue has been completely fitted out and every last detail has been thought of. The countryside surrounding the barn goes on for miles, and the walled garden is bursting with colours and floral scents. I couldn't imagine a better spot for Julie (being a gardener) to say her vows to Mike. A little rain t ...

I really hate that this much time has passed since I photographed this wedding. It's been hanging over my head, but unfortunately reliable internet is not a luxury afforded to me during my travels. When I met Kim, I felt a sort of kindred connection with her. If only because she was an American girl marrying a British boy, and she was giddy in love. I can sort of relate to that ;-)Their wedding day was filled with love and a huge portion of emotion. The father daughter dance was especially a tear jerker.Cheers to Kim and Christian.Travel Update :: We are currently in France, visiting my inlaws at their home here. We ...

Table Mountain
We've been talking about it since we were here last year. You can see it from anywhere in Cape Town it's so big (and everywhere else is so flat). It really is the icon of South Africa, and I can just imagine the first Dutch settlers seeing it on the horizon and deciding to come here. A huge plateau protruding out of what is relatively flat land. We've been waiting for a clear sunny day on the weekend to do it, and I'd been checking the forecast all week to make sure it wasn't going to change. When we woke up on Saturday morning we checked the mountain from our window and saw just a few clouds wisping around the base, not enough to keep u ...
