Summertime :: On Film

creative Film personal

It’s been a week since we got back from our holiday in England. My husband was away from home for 2 months. I took these photos before he left. We had such a lovely time in England, which is a separate post completely, but part of me was really looking forward to getting back home, to our home.

Tea on our porch.

Constant smell of sunscreen.

Sipping cold beers on the boat.

Playing in the sand.

Thinking there isn’t enough wind to sail, but going anyways.

This is what summer looks like in our home in Florida. And although the heat and humidity are intense, somehow we find ways to enjoy it all.

You may recognize these two little ones. We did a complete family shoot with them last year which you can see HERE.This set up was for Carter and Makenna's 2nd birthday. This is the sweetest photo session I've ever done. It was completely designed and thought up my Carter and Makenna's mom, Marissa. She had this idea in her head for a while and when she asked if I'd photograph it, I was so excited. It sounded like way too fun. I can only take credit for the photos. The set up and styling was done completely by Marissa. She made the signs, and the streaming bunting, she is incredibly creative. Makenna and Carter are 2 very lucky 2 year old ...

Southampton Family Photography :: Beach Session
How many families do you know that want to have their water fight photographed after they take their "nice" photos? I had such a blast with this super photogenic and lovely family. Kelly and I have been meeting on Monday morning for the past few months, for what I like to call "punishing Ashley." She's a personal trainer and an amazing inspiration. I always leave our sessions feeling uplifted and with a new appreciation for my body. I just wish she could count better ;-) I loved getting to meet her fiance, Phil, and their combined families. Each of the 4 kids has something a little different to bring to the table in terms of personality and q ...

Impossible
This past weekend I did an engagement shoot with this lovely couple. I brought along a special treat, a pack of Impossible Film. I hardly ever use the polaroid camera, because the film for it is so expensive. But thanks to a sweet friend who gifted me a pack of film I was able to use it for this shoot. I love the look of these images and all the imperfections.
