Southampton Engagement Photographer :: Em and John

Engagement

Something I never really considered all that much before I got married was, the family I’d be becoming a part of. But I have to say, as far as in laws go I couldn’t have hand chosen better ones. Emily is Eliot’s cousin and one of the sweetest people you’d ever meet. Her and John came to our wedding so many of my friends and family now know who she is. Whenever I would tell someone I was going to England to photograph her wedding, I would in some form or another get, “Oh sweet Emily?” So Em, just so you know, you were a hit.

A few days before the wedding we decided to do a little mini session ::

I promise, I will be back tomorrow with this wedding. It was spectacular and I can’t wait to show it. It’s a BIG post.

Love Shoot – The New Forest
"What on earth is a Love Shoot?" my husband asked me... Well it's when a couple want to have photos done of themselves, just the two of them, for no other reason other than they want to do it. Maybe they're married and they have kids who generally take centre stage in everything, including photos. Or maybe they're not married, but they're tired of the same old selfie pose they have of the two of them together (you know the one, sitting in the car with big cheesy smiles). A Love Shoot is basically an engagement shoot without the responsibility of having to be engaged. It's a day away from everything and spending time with just your love, and h ...

Southampton Engagement Photographer – Mike and Sue
So a while back I was taking a Portrait Photography class and was in desperate need for some models to pose for me. It was a very "traditional portrait" studio class (nothing like what I ever wanted to do or do now, but nevertheless a good learning experience). Mike and Sue graciously agreed to help me out and sit for me while I took awkward, overly posed photos of them ("yes, it's very important you tilt your head exactly that way, otherwise I might fail" kind of stuff). As you can imagine, those photos never and will never surface on the web. It's to protect all three of us, I promise. But I was really happy when got engaged and asked me ...

London Engagement Photography :: Kerry & Jonas
I met Kerry the first night I arrived in China, after a long Chinese dinner and a ride on the back of a motorbike, through the busy streets of Fuyang, with a South African guy I had met just a few hours previously. (In case you think that's not the best decision I've ever made, I can promise you that it's not the worst.)She's been an easy person to keep up with, because every once in a while, we find ourselves in the same corner of the world again. This time, it was in London, and she had just gotten engaged to Jonas. She's American, he's German and they have such an amazing outlook on life, and this world. Eliot and I had an awesome day ...
