Have you heard of the six degrees of separation thing? The idea that everyone in the world is separated by only six people. Well Xan and I discovered this to be true on a couple different levels. It blew my mind a little bit.

Also blowing my mind these days is film. I’ve been experimenting a bit with it, like I said in my last post, I’m in love. Best impulse buy EVER. I brought my medium format camera out on this shoot, just to see what would happen.

I’ve mixed them all up below, but you can tell which are film. This is not instagram folks. The film images below are straight out of camera, I didn’t do any additional editing to any of them. How cool is that?

Boudoir Photography Southampton :: Miss L
Boudoir photography Southampton. There is no shortage of gorgeous locations to shoot boudoir at.WOW. It is beyond bittersweet finishing up these images. Luckily I've done another shoot with this girl since and I have a whole new bunch of ones to go over. You can see a little preview of those here. I know there's been a lot of boudoir lately, it's kind of been the season for it which I am completely fine with. Again, the beautiful hair and makeup was done by Nicole Patterson. I can't wait to work with her again, she did such an awesome job. This is one of the best things a girl can do for herself, and it is such a fun day to pull together. ...

We found out in February that we are expecting a little babe in late October, so we made some plans to get ourselves a bit more settled. Although we loved our life in China and our Xiamen family that live there, we didn't see ourselves having a baby there. We've always wanted to be closer to family, and after almost 9 years together we decided it's time to make that transition and move to the UK.This also means starting again with my business. It all feels a bit daunting. An unfamiliar place, wit ...

Happy Holidays
I'm not going to lie, Christmas has kind of taken a back seat this year to other things that are going on. But I still love this time of year and knowing that there is going to be a respite, from work and other things, to spend with family and friends. I like taking part in our local community's holiday activities that bring people together and I love finding little treasures for people to open on Christmas day. Favorite gift I found this year were these little stamp sets for my niece and Eliot's god-daughter.I also really love when I get to reconnect with people who's photos I've taken in the past. One of the biggest compliments is getti ...
