I’m In Love

Film preview

I’m giddy. I hate the suspense of surprises. I always tell people that if you want to surprise me with something, don’t tell me you’re going to surprise me with something because it kills me. You can imagine the state I’ve been in this last week, knowing I dropped film off at the lab and would have to wait to see it. Luckily, I got to go on a trip and *try* to forget about it.

This is straight out of the camera. And by camera, I mean my bright sunshiny yellow Holga. I’m in love. Lots more to come.

Into the Instant Film World
This is the newest addition to my film camera collection, a Polaroid SX-70 Land Camera. If I could describe it one word? TEMPERAMENTAL. Everything about this is completely unpredictable, and sometimes painful to experience (as in watching money burn painful). Being a product of the 70s, not everything works perfectly all the time. Also polaroid doesn't make film for them anymore, but there's a company that does called The Impossible Project. They are the best, and only people making film for these. However, the film is also very T ...

And although the heat and humidity are intense, somehow we find ways to enjoy it all.Zoë :: Double Exposure...

Springhill House Wedding Photography – Worcestershire
The Day This wedding was so beautiful. I knew it would be. From the moment we got the news that Em and John had gotten engaged, I couldn't picture anything but a spectacular day for them. From what I knew and had heard about Emily, she doesn't do anything half fast. So when she wrote to me, asking if I might possibly photograph it for them, I was thrilled (almost like being asked to shoot the royal wedding thrilled). When these two came out for our wedding in January they spent the whole week up on the mountain with us. I was a bit worried that Emily might change her mind about wanting me to photograph their wedding, because well, I didn't e ...
