Southampton Engagement Photographer – Mike and Sue

Engagement

So a while back I was taking a Portrait Photography class and was in desperate need for some models to pose for me. It was a very “traditional portrait” studio class (nothing like what I ever wanted to do or do now, but nevertheless a good learning experience). Mike and Sue graciously agreed to help me out and sit for me while I took awkward, overly posed photos of them (“yes, it’s very important you tilt your head exactly that way, otherwise I might fail” kind of stuff). As you can imagine, those photos never and will never surface on the web. It’s to protect all three of us, I promise.

But I was really happy when got engaged and asked me to take their engagement photos. It gave me the opportunity to show them what I was really capable of. All these photos were actually taken in my little neighborhood, so it’s a good look into Ozona as well.

(In case you think that's not the best decision I've ever made, I can promise you that it's not the worst.)She's been an easy person to keep up with, because every once in a while, we find ourselves in the same corner of the world again. This time, it was in London, and she had just gotten engaged to Jonas. She's American, he's German and they have such an amazing outlook on life, and this world. Eliot and I had an awesome day ...

Southampton Engagement Photography :: A Proposal
Happy Friday! One week from today and I will be on my way to Europe for 4 months. Today is also the last shoot I'm doing before leaving. It happens to be my favorite kind too. Can you guess? Definitely ending things on a high note. This is a proposal I shot a few weeks back for a friend of mine. Proposal turned mini e-sesh. It was a complete surprise and I was posing like I was just taking a photo of the sunset. Very fun to be a part of. Here is Andrew and Hannah ::
