Weddings

Photography is all about connecting with people, and

finding the magic.

The photos come easy after that. Anyone can point a camera and click the shutter, but when you are able to connect with person in front of the lens you get a completely different insight and view. My process is an organized approach on the front end, and a very organic fluid approach on the wedding day.

I want to know about you,

I want to meet up beforehand and hear about how you met, who proposed to whom, and

whether you drink tea or coffee.

I want to know the details of your day. I want to keep in touch before the wedding and know any changes, or even just if you’ve found the most perfect centre piece for your tables. I want to help you

plan a schedule

so that we get the most out of your photos and I know exactly where I need to be. I want you to be relaxed on your wedding day and

I want to be relaxed as well.

I want to take the most

amazing photos

you have ever seen of yourself and your partner.

An absolute dream location. A bride and groom who give you lots of time with them. Sleeping in a tipi under the stars. Sunshine in the Pacific Northwest. A tipi village next to a river. Beautiful friends and family. A couple film cameras. Handmade decorations. Corn Hole and Giant Jenga. All this, nestled in the foothills of Eugene Oregon, is a recipe for a beautiful wedding day. Everything about their wedding was perfect, and it was impossible not to feel inspired. Here is Nicole and Karl at a Tipi Village Retreat :: A big shout out and THANK YOU to my little sister, Char, who helped me so much on this day. Many of the film shots ab ...

I always try my best, no matter what, to get a couple in front of my camera before their wedding day. Not everyone is used to having a camera pointing at them, and it's often really hard to not go into "cheese" mode when it is. Getting a couple in front of the camera before their wedding day, helps me to coach them a bit and get used to my style of photography. That way, on their big day, they can focus on each other, and that's when the magic happens. However, these two had no problem in front of my camera. It seemed like they had already done it all before. We got to sneak away from the party for a bit to catch that afternoon light that ...

Southampton Wedding Photography :: Kim and Christian
I really hate that this much time has passed since I photographed this wedding. It's been hanging over my head, but unfortunately reliable internet is not a luxury afforded to me during my travels. When I met Kim, I felt a sort of kindred connection with her. If only because she was an American girl marrying a British boy, and she was giddy in love. I can sort of relate to that ;-) Their wedding day was filled with love and a huge portion of emotion. The father daughter dance was especially a tear jerker. Cheers to Kim and Christian. Travel Update :: We are currently in France, visiting my inlaws at their home here. We ...
