Into the Instant Film World
This is the newest addition to my film camera collection, a Polaroid SX-70 Land Camera. If I could describe it one word? TEMPERAMENTAL. Everything about this is completely unpredictable, and sometimes painful to experience (as in watching money burn painful). Being a product of the 70s, not everything works perfectly all the time. Sometimes the mirror sticks up and overexposes a photo. Sometimes it doesn't meter correctly and underexposes it. Sister, Sister
So I was in my home town last month. It's up in the beautiful pacific north west, and I try to take advantage of as much as I can while I'm there (we just don't have trees like this in Florida). I asked my little sister if she wanted to go for a walk with me. We had quite a few uncharacteristically sunny days while I was up there. It was so beautiful, but the days were so short. Southampton Portrait Photography :: The Cox Family
I love having them in front of my camera every time. Marissa (the mom) is one of the sweetest people I've ever met, and has such a good heart. Getting to know her through taking their family photos, has been one of the most rewarding parts of being a photographer. Having a connection to someone makes it all so much sweeter.
