If you need your photographer to snowboard down a mountain with you while you’re in all your wedding gear, I’m your girl. This wedding was so much fun. I’m calling it an adventure wedding because a) How many weddings do you get to go to that start in a small Austrian hall (at 10am), then b) transport all the guests to the top of a mountain for lunch and a party, and c) only to all ski/snowboard down for dinner and the after party. It was organised to perfection. It was an adventure wedding.

Mike and Shula come to this ski resort, Zell am See, a few times a year. The area has plenty of terrain, but doesn’t have that big resort feel to it that you get other places in the Alps. We came out for the whole week, as we hadn’t snowboarded in a couple years and wanted to make the most of it. We fell in love with the area. Down in the town there’s a gorgeous lake, and we were impressed that even towards the end of March we could ride from the top, all the way into Zell. One day we took a quick shuttle over the glacier, Kaprun, and had a beautiful powder day.

I love that these guys made it a week long affair. We got so much time up on the mountain, and had the most beautiful sunny day on the wedding day itself. In the evening we headed back to the Hotel Heitzmann for a superb dinner. (We actually booked our entire stay at this hotel which included our dinner every night, and it was the best food ever. Not a buffet, but a sit down 4 course meal with allowances for vegetarian and pescatarian.) The evening entertainment was an amazing band, The Side Project.

Way to go guys. You truly organised the perfect week, and wedding day.

Southampton Engagement Photography :: Diana and Sam
Pre wedding sessions. Awesome locations. Lovely couple. And funky architecture. Sam and Di are good friends who's wedding we celebrated the night before we left China to move here. A gorgeous Hong Kong wedding. But of course, we took some engagement photos a few months beforehand. This was a little mini-sesh, we got together early one morning and explored the area around our city, Xiamen. Since being in Xiamen, whenever we would walk down to the park near the waterfront, we would go under the overpass with all the vines crawling up it, in a very 'life after people' kind of way. I've always wanted to put a couple in a frame there. ...

If you are a frequent visitor here, you've definitely seen this girl before. She's graced this blog in the past with her awesomeness.  You might even see her photo in the top header, still one of my favorite shoots of all time.  If ever I have a new idea for a shoot I want to do, she's the girl I call.  She's sweet, fun, GORGEOUS and a natural in front of the camera.  Since I've been doing some playing around in the studio, I knew I had to get her in and under the bright lights. Here's Shannon. Also photo related: I shot a BEAUTIFUL wedding this weekend. I can't wait to open it up and start editing it.  Maybe I'll be able to show a ...

This week went really quickly on me.  I can't believe it's already Thursday, meaning tomorrow is Friday which is the start of another weekend.  Totally awesome, I wish every week was like this.  Really I just want this Florida winter to be over with.  The weather is so bipolar it's making me insane.  One day it will be in the mid 70's and the next in the low 40's.  I keep packing my winter stuff away and having to get it back out again.  Because if there's anything I hate, it's being cold.  A total wimp when it comes to things like that.  I like cold weather, but I must be fully equipped to enjoy it.  So yes, I think I'm the only girl in FL w ...
