Stockholm Wedding

Engagement photography portraits wedding

Being able to use my camera and photograph new places and spaces is one of the biggest joys in this profession. Every time I visit a new place, I find these subtle little beauties, and I wish I had my camera on hand. I normally settle for an iPhone shot and post it up on Instagram with a chic filter and call it good. But when I get to travel for a wedding, camera in hand, it’s one of the most rewarding times in my job. This Stockholm wedding is no different.

The day was filled with so many sweet little traditions and details. Alexis and Magnus clearly spent so much time refining it all and creating a day that truly reflected who they are and their love as a couple.

Alexis is my cousin, and back in 2013, my husband and I went on the most epic road trip for 4 months during the summer. The last stop on our itinerary, before heading back to the UK, was Stockholm to visit these two. Right before we arrived Magnus proposed to Alexis and I did their engagement photos for them. I was so excited when they asked me to photograph their wedding day, as Stockholm is such an amazing city. They were married at Villa Källhagen, a stunning location, just a quick stroll from the main city.

Shortly after this Stockholm wedding, I realised that my destination wedding portfolio is quite substantial. I love traveling and if I can do it and document a wedding day at the same time then I’m doubly thrilled. If you’re planning a wedding outside of the UK, get in touch with me. If you give me the chance to capture your day I will work my ass off and deliver gorgeous photos for you.

Baby Zoë
I've been spending a lot of time with this little one. Our good friends' and neighbors' little girl, and it's been so fun living next door to her and watching her grow each day.  She's moments away from walking and is so awesome to hang out with.  She's 10 months and she's so much fun right now.  She's so perceptive and happy and curious about everything.  It's fun to see the world through her eyes.  I was watching her the other day and took the moment to get some new shots of her with my camera.  It's fun to get bundled up before going outside in this little bit of Florida winter we're having. Just for clarification because I get asked it ...

Full Term
As of today I'm considered full term. 37 weeks, which means baby could potentially come at any time. I could, however, also wait another 5 weeks. I'm hoping it's not 5 more weeks, but I'm happy to let him/her stay in there as long as needed. I can't really complain too much about this pregnancy (actually, I could, but I know I've had it pretty easy compared to what others go through, so I'll save my complaining). It's been relatively smooth, and so far we know that the Little Thorne (or the little wriggler, as Eliot call it) is healthy and happy. We decided to keep finding out the sex a surprise, and although right now I'm mo ...

Southampton Engagement Photography :: Diana and Sam
Pre wedding sessions. Awesome locations. Lovely couple. And funky architecture. Sam and Di are good friends who's wedding we celebrated the night before we left China to move here. A gorgeous Hong Kong wedding. But of course, we took some engagement photos a few months beforehand. This was a little mini-sesh, we got together early one morning and explored the area around our city, Xiamen. Since being in Xiamen, whenever we would walk down to the park near the waterfront, we would go under the overpass with all the vines crawling up it, in a very 'life after people' kind of way. I've always wanted to put a couple in a frame there. ...
