New Forest Family Photography :: Louise + Nathan + Jocelyn

babies/kids couples family lifestyle portraits

This sweet family happens to our neighbours and friends. We are often given fresh eggs from their chickens. Little Jocelyn was born about 3 weeks before Cavanaugh, and Louise and I have spent many days commiserating celebrating as we navigate new motherhood together. It’s so much easier with friends (and lots of coffee and cake). Being right in the forest is a photographer’s dream, there is an endless choice of whimsical places. These images were taken in the field behind Louise and Nathan’s house, and their fairytale back garden.

Happy Holidays
I'm not going to lie, Christmas has kind of taken a back seat this year to other things that are going on. But I still love this time of year and knowing that there is going to be a respite, from work and other things, to spend with family and friends. A Love Shoot is basically an engagement shoot without the responsibility of having to be engaged. It's a day away from everything and spending time with just your love, and h ...

Engagement Preview
Daylight savings time has arrived!!  Which means 2 things, 1) for the next couple of days I'm going to be dragging in the morning and might have to drink two lattes instead of my usual one, and 2) we have a whole extra hour of evening light!  The winter time makes it really difficult to schedule shoots during the week due to work schedules and such, and because the sun goes down so early.  But now....the days are getting longer and we've switched the clocks forward so essentially everyone gets out of work an hour earlier, making it easier to schedule an evening shoot.  So get ready! Here's a little preview of something I'll be showing the ...
