New Forest Family Photography :: Louise + Nathan + Jocelyn

babies/kids couples family lifestyle portraits

This sweet family happens to our neighbours and friends. We are often given fresh eggs from their chickens.  Little Jocelyn was born about 3 weeks before Cavanaugh, and Louise and I have spent many days commiserating celebrating as we navigate new motherhood together.  It’s so much easier with friends (and lots of coffee and cake). Being right in the forest is a photographer’s dream, there is an endless choice of whimsical places. These images were taken in the field behind Louise and Nathan’s house, and their fairytale back garden.

You know when you see someone you haven't seen in ages, the conversation just flows and you feel like you'll never get caught up on everything that's happened since the last time you spoke? That's what happened with this girl, because I haven't seen her since.....*yikes* high school? We were next door neighbors growing up, and were always at one another house. Mostly I hung out at her house as I kind of liked her whole family. So when she contacted me to shoot her wedding, I was ecstatic. There's nothing like reconnecting with old pals, and learning what's been happening in their life. But most of all, how cool is it to meet the person they'v ...

We were getting ready to watch a band play and there were kids running all around the place while we were sipping on gluten free beer and chatting with friends. My phone rang and I looked down to see her name, and I thought "That's strange, she NEVER calls me." And this is true, we normally have skype dates and we set them up via facebook, text or email. So I excused myself and answered because I knew she wouldn't want to talk on the phone long, she never does, ...

I was absent here last week. All for good reasons though. I was getting ready to have a bachelorette weekend with three of my bridesmaids.  Two of my best friends came from far away to celebrate (Texas and Utah). One of these girls, we figured out, I hadn't seen in over 4 years. Which makes sense, she'd never met Eliot and he and I are getting ready to celebrate 5 years together. It was an amazing weekend full of sangria, dancing, dress shopping, boating and swimming in the ocean. You understand why I was absent right? This is a shoot I did a few weeks ago.  This girl is not new to this blog, I've photographed her before, and you can see t ...
