Midsummer Oregon Wedding :: Nicole and Karl

couples family Film wedding

An absolute dream location. A bride and groom who give you lots of time with them. Sleeping in a tipi under the stars. Sunshine in the Pacific Northwest. A tipi village next to a river. Beautiful friends and family. A couple film cameras. Handmade decorations. Corn Hole and Giant Jenga. All this, nestled in the foothills of Eugene Oregon, is a recipe for a beautiful wedding day.

Everything about their wedding was perfect, and it was impossible not to feel inspired. Here is Nicole and Karl at a Tipi Village Retreat ::

A big shout out and THANK YOU to my little sister, Char, who helped me so much on this day. Many of the film shots above are ones that she took 🙂

LOVE LOVE LOVE! I can't thank you both enough for all of the hard work you put in to the whole weekend. We could not be happier with how the pictures turned out. Every picture brought a smile to my face.

New Forest Family Photography :: Hannah + Steve + Robyn
Is there anything better than Autumn in the forest? The colours around me right now are so beautiful, and when the sun is out, like it is today, it all glows this golden luminescent light. My only complaint are the short days. I really struggle with it. But a little photoshoot with a cute babe can usually lift my spirits. This is Hannah, Steve and little Robyn. Hannah is a mama friend of mine, and Robyn and Cav are very close in age. It's been invaluable having her input and perspective through this new season in our lives.

Getting Married?
I am.  I'm really excited about it too.  I've found the perfect person who loves me in the exact way I need to be loved.  He's the only one who can make me happy, but he's also the only person to make me as angry as I've ever been.  That's kind of the beauty of love.  I've never laughed or cried harder as when I've been with Eliot.  We find that person who can conjure up those polar opposite emotions in you, and we give them the power to do so, only trusting them that they won't take advantage of it.  He's the only one who can intoxicate me overwhelmingly with how much I love him.  He's also the only person who could smash my heart to smither ...

New Forest Family Photography :: Louise + Nathan + Jocelyn
This sweet family happens to our neighbours and friends. We are often given fresh eggs from their chickens. Little Jocelyn was born about 3 weeks before Cavanaugh, and Louise and I have spent many days commiserating celebrating as we navigate new motherhood together. It's so much easier with friends (and lots of coffee and cake). Being right in the forest is a photographer's dream, there is an endless choice of whimsical places. These images were taken in the field behind Louise and Nathan's house, and their fairytale back garden.
