Southampton Engagement Photography :: Mike and Sue

couples Engagement lifestyle portraits wedding

So a while back I was taking a Portrait Photography class and was in desperate need for some models to pose for me. It was a very “traditional portrait” studio class (nothing like what I ever wanted to do or do now, but nevertheless a good learning experience). Mike and Sue graciously agreed to help me out and sit for me while I took awkward, overly posed photos of them (“yes, it’s very important you tilt your head exactly that way, otherwise I might fail” kind of stuff). As you can imagine, those photos never and will never surface on the web. It’s to protect all three of us, I promise.

But I was really happy when got engaged and asked me to take their engagement photos. It gave me the opportunity to show them what I was really capable of. All these photos were actually taken in my little neighborhood, so it’s a good look into Ozona as well.

Sneak Peek :: April & Will
Last weekend I met these two in the early morning. **I know I haven't blogged in like...forever. It's not for lack of wanting, just a major lack of time, which I don't even have to explain myself right now. Maybe another post. Or maybe not. I'm working on getting back into the flow. Thanks for visiting.

Southampton Wedding Photography :: April & Will
I had such a fun time photographing this "trash the dress" session with April and Will. They both were so full of fun energy and we giggled a lot this morning. I love how the images turned out and the dreaminess of it all. I took along a roll of film to compliment the gorgeous shots we got of April trashing her dress. Love, love, love. So many moments like this.

New Forest Family Photography :: Hannah + Steve + Robyn
Is there anything better than Autumn in the forest? The colours around me right now are so beautiful, and when the sun is out, like it is today, it all glows this golden luminescent light. My only complaint are the short days. I really struggle with it. But a little photoshoot with a cute babe can usually lift my spirits. This is Hannah, Steve and little Robyn. Hannah is a mama friend of mine, and Robyn and Cav are very close in age. It's been invaluable having her input and perspective through this new season in our lives.
