Southampton Wedding Photography :: Kathryn and Eric

photography portraits wedding

My last wedding of 2011 *sigh*. This day was beautiful from start to finish. It can be risky planning a winter wedding, but when you get the right day, it’s absolutely worth it. The riskiest days have the sweetest rewards. Eric and Kathryn have the nicest families and everyone made me feel so welcome. When I first arrived, both Kathryn and her mom started asking me about my own wedding and the plans for that. It’s so wonderful to make that personal connection with people.

Eric and Kathryn were married at Twenty-Eight Twelve in Valrico, FL. It was a beautiful farmhouse and the perfect setting for their style of wedding. Guest were greeted with hot cider before the outdoor ceremony. The reception was beautifully lit with twinkle lights. It was lovely being a part of their day.

This wraps the 2011 (and my first) wedding season. It’s been such a great year and I have learned so much. I’ve had amazing couples to work with and I feel so lucky in that regard. 2012 is shaping up to look awesome as well on the wedding front with at least one international affair 🙂 Thank you to the couples I’ve worked with this year and their lovely families.

Deneen and Peter: The Holidays
So you know when you meet a couple and you walk away thinking "wow, those two are so perfect for eachother."  They compliment eachother, they radiate back and forth from one another, and they're so happy together.  This is just another reason I love doing this.  Getting to meet people which such positive energy, who are fun to be around and effortless in front of the camera (despite what Peter may think).  And it makes the shoot more relaxed when you feel like you can really relate to the people in front of your lens. The highlight of the shoot was getting kicked off the little kiddie train because I kept turning around to take photos of t ...

Southampton Wedding Photography :: Sarah and Max
I really do have the most amazing couples who find me. Everything about Sarah and Max's day was beautiful, from the simplicity in the details, down to the people who were a part of it. They were surrounded by so much love and you could tell they felt it. The way Sarah looked when I showed up, I could see she was relaxed and ready to let the day take its course. Everything played out beautifully. Although they've been together for years, you wouldn't know it by how excited they both got about one another. Max has a quiet confidence about him, but every once in a while he'd break out of that and you could see his playful side come ...

Southampton Wedding Photography :: Brian and Brittany
Funnest. Couple. Ever. Loved being a part of Brittany and Brian's day.  When I first met these two our conversation mainly consisted of all the great breweries up in the NorthWest. They spent a year living up in Portland after graduating from university.  Brittany is so laid back, when I arrived at her Maid of Honor's house to start capturing them getting ready, her bridesmaids were giving her a hard time for painting her own nails.  Her biggest worry throughout the whole day was that when we went outside to take some shots of just the two of them, she was going to miss the DJ playing The Twist. Brian is equally carefree and easily distrac ...
